Racial Bullying Education Tool

Ongoing volunteer project
  • Conducting UX research on East Asian parents' perspectives on racial bullying and how they talk to their children about it.
  • Preliminary findings including empathy mapping of interview transcripts, user personas and scenarios are to be presented at the 2026 Canadian Psychological Association Annual National Convention in Montreal, Quebec.
  • UX research will inform the design of an educational app to support parents and educators with teaching young children about school-based racial bullying.
  • More details to come as the app is built.

Queer Embodiment at Pride — MSc Thesis

  • Victoria and Vancouver Pride Festival
  • Recruited 110 participants for a daily diary study
  • Survey responses and written responses from participants
  • Qualitative data analysis — Reflexive Thematic Analysis
  • Findings uncovered the significant impact of feeling grounded in community and physical embodiment, with suggested applications in clinical practice, social policies, and community events.

  • Examined how age dynamics shape partnerships between students, staff, and faculty in higher education contexts.
  • Conducted during my time as a Research Assistant at McMaster University, and published in 2025.
